1. Alcohol

​At the top of the tree of the "no" foods for candida is alcohol.


It doesn't matter if it's just one glass of wine or one beer on the weekends – it has to go.

Alcohol has a very powerful effect on your gut microbiota. Especially wine and beer because they're made from yeast and tend to be high in sugar. Beer also contains gluten which is something I'll ​talk more about in a few slides.


Alcohol also suppresses your immune system which is something you need to keep your yeast population under control.


Most ​people who are serious about getting well with Candida have no issues entirely giving up alcohol for a minimum of 3 months.
